Sleep in a Box event to raise homelessness awareness

On Sunday, Mar. 29, LSU’s Residential Hall Association will be holding an event called Sleep in a Box, in which students spend a night in cardboard boxes to raise money and awareness for the problem of homelessness in the Baton Rouge area. Participants will build their own houses at the event out of cardboard and tape, and houses will be judged for creativity. By spending a night outside of the comfort of their own beds, students will get a chance to experience the situation that the homeless deal with every day. The event is for LSU students only. Registration is $15, and is available at SleepinaBox.org.
