Elude Salon and Spa newly renovated and open for business

[8 Comment(s)]

By Morgan Mitchener

Modern, industrial and clean describes Elude Salon and Spa at Bocage, located on Jefferson and McCarroll. This progressive salon is composed of three stylists all of whom are fresh and current on hairstyling trends and cuts.

Cambre Romero, who is the owner, created the salon a mere three months ago and made it his own with a full renovation and facelift to the property. Essentially, it is a big city salon that is tailored to fit Baton Rouge. The other two stylists who work in coordinance with Romero are Mikie LeBlanc and Michael Landry. Together, they create a trio of young, hip stylists.

To allure and establish more student clients, Elude is offering different promotions to students to get their name known. For instance, student discounting of 20% for first time visits is only one of the enticing factors that will tempt you to get a cut from Elude Salon and Spa. In addition, the plethora of hair treatments accessible are top notch and designed to leave your hair voluptuous and smooth while not using harsh chemicals.

The salon is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. Because the stylists are keen on building a relationship with students, they are willing and flexible enough to work around the hectic schedules that students have. This will hopefully aid to ease the stress of making and keeping appointments.

Elude Salon and Spa offers a full menu of hair-care options at great prices like: cuts starting at $35, coloring at $55, highlights at $65, styles at $25, conditioning treatments at $40, thermal reconditioning and straightening and extensions (call for pricing).

The upstairs section of the salon is devoted to the spa. It offers massages starting at $45 for 30 minutes of service, facials and waxing (call for pricing) and will accommodate customers as needed.

Catering to the individual's needs is what Elude Salon and Spa is all about.

"We have a strong passion for excellence, with an eye for detail," said Romero in an interview with Tiger Weekly. "We look forward to more student clients and have always considered ourselves lifelong lovers of LSU."

They have a specific brand and line of hair products, Davines, which is a European line and brand of products that work exclusively with Elude. Davines helps to correct a wide variety of hair problems and is available to purchase at the store and at affordable prices.

The stylists at Elude Salon and Spa are also very involved in the community and have already sponsored Aristocracy (men's boutique store in Towne Center) and have plans on annual events and sponsorships in the future.

To get a cut or style or full spa service, call (225) 490-0444 to make an appointment. Because the store is fairly new, their Web site, www.eludesalon.com, is still under construction. Pricing will vary among the three stylists but no matter which hairdresser you pick, you are sure to walk away looking great.
