Have you had problems scheduling for the fall semester?
PAST POLLS
Do you feel safe on campus?
-
Sure. I’ve never had any reason to worry.
-
Sort of. It’s pretty safe during the day, but I tend to feel less secure at night.
-
Not at all. With all the campus shootings in recent years, I feel that we are always at risk.

What do you do to get by in your classes?
-
I skip class a lot, get notes from others, and have a list of excuses to use just in case.
-
I use Wikipedia and SparkNotes all the time because they are so easy and efficient.
-
I sometimes copy and paste a few words or sentences into my essays every now and then.
-
I do a little bit of everything. Whatever it takes.
-
I don’t cut the corners. I do the work myself and earn my grades.

What do you think of the progress on the Union construction?
-
I think the renovations so far are awesome, and I can’t wait to see the finished product.
-
I think it is good that they are renovating it, but I wish that it could be completed before I graduate.
-
I think the renovations are a waste of money that could go to hiring better professors and offering more classes.
-
I think the construction is noisy and unsightly; it is a distraction from an otherwise beautiful campus.

How would you describe your first semester of college?
-
I went to lots of parties, met so many new people and hardly ever went to class.
-
My classes were pretty demanding, but I still managed to have some fun and keep decent grades.
-
Overall, it was a much more difficult transition than I thought it would be.
-
I wouldn’t know yet. Ask me again next semester.

Which major music festival is your favorite?
-
Voodoo Fest or Jazz Fest because both are close to home and offer a wide variety of musical acts.
-
ACL or Lollapalooza because they both are in great locations and always have great lineups.
-
Rothbury or Bonnaroo because both offer on-site camping, making the experience much more memorable.
-
I prefer other music festivals like Bumbershoot, Coachella, or All Points West.
-
I am not much of a music festival person. I rather listen to my iPod.
